Above is an article that appeared in the Saturday Buffalo News, exposing the secret Republican In Name Only (RINO) effort to block Donald Trump from running for Governor, memorializing why the Republican Party (GOP) rank and file in upstate New York and Long Island are livid with RINO leadership in the State and County GOPs and within their elected legislature. The treacherous RINOs seek to sell them out again, but this time their underbelly has been exposed.

In the meeting with Trump last Friday, 13 County Chairmen, 10 legislators and many others intended to explore Trump’s disposition to run for Governor this year.  Ed Cox, Chairman of the State Party, refused to attend.  He had already consecrated Rob Astorino with the GOPs endorsement, announcing for three weeks that Astorino was running when in fact Rob was saying he hadn’t made up his mind. Thank you for your email regarding the finances of the Buffalo Public Schools.  Please feel free to send the following response to your email distribution list.

My office is dedicated to protecting taxpayers and their investment in the city’s school district.  In 2012, I assigned the Special Assistant to the Comptroller, who is a Certified Public Accountant, the duty of examining the finances of the school district.  During this ongoing task, she has asked critical questions and offered recommendations to the district, especially in regards to the spending of grant funds and internal controls.  I have also aggressively refinanced the school district’s debt during my first two years in office, resulting in a savings of more than $60 million in interest costs.  Read more ›

Attached are my prior memos and Ken Lovett’s recent article concerning my rationale for the removal of Dean Skelos and Brian Kolb from their leadership offices.

The Republican rank and file in upstate New York and Long Island are genuinely upset with statewide politics, party officials and their elected legislators who have sold them out on so many issues. They don’t remember anymore why they are registered as Republicans. They feel abandoned and are looking for a new home. The party did well last year in local races but the rank and file know that the real problems of New York emanate from the Albany abyss and its disingenuous legislature.

They don’t trust their legislators whose leaders have advocated a defensive posture of appeasement and conciliation instead of providing an “in your face” opposition to the liberal government. As the rank and file watch their life savings deplete, their children leave the State to find jobs and the family fabric wither away, their legislators let Andrew Cuomo give them a patronage and special interest laden economic development plan, the SAFE Act and more gambling, to suck the last blood out of upstate, while denying them the economic opportunity of safe and regulated fracking.
