“Board member Florence D. Johnson said she didn’t appreciate being “held hostage” by Paladino’s agenda for hours on end.“ — then GET LOST if you have more important things to do lady ! This isn’t an opportunity for you to put on your Sunday Finest, go to a Tea Party and be SEEN — you are not that important ! Do the work or get out !! And I hope Carl keeps you there EVERY meeting until you decide to engage, tackle some issues and provide some answers or your head explodes, whichever comes first !! You and some of your fellow Board members would do well to remember that these meetings are not your personal debutante ball ! Get used to late nights or hit the road Ma’am — much to your chagrin, things are a changin’ !! At least I HOPE SO !

Well, how about this?

The Buffalo tax payers complained bitterly that they have been “Held Hostage” by this idiotic board for the last ten years and they don’t like it either!!!!!!!!

We need more people, like Mr. Paladino, who are willing to raise their voice and become involved in an increasingly intolerable situation – almost half the kids do not graduate and a lot of those who do cannot read past the third grade level.
It costs around $17,000 per student per year to teach them how not to read. The people of Western New York and the country as a whole are not getting their money’s worth and the kids are being sentenced to a life as second class citizens.
Shout as loud as you need to be heard Carl, you are doing the right thing.

So basically it appears we have one board member willing to work, and the rest are proving to be lazy, inconsiderate, and incompetent oafs?
They wouldn’t even discuss the illegal evaluation? No matter how “long-winded” they felt Carl was—at least he brought up issues that needed to be brought up. Maybe if Florence Johnson and her cronies from the previous boards’ (yes, BOARDS’) had actually DONE THEIR JOBS, you wouldn’t need 5 hour board meetings. Ever think of that, lady? Get a grip. Stop supporting the abuse of children and teachers. Stop allowing a pathetic educational product. GET IT FIXED OR GET OUT OF THE CHAIR!
Nice work, Carl. Too bad nothing else will be accomplished this summer, but get it done!

With Carl fully engaged, I believe this board will have no choice but to shape up and begin to consider the children first, and their own interests second. He will be a breath of fresh air – or better yet, a hurricane – in what has been a pretty stagnant institution.

Yo Floe,

To Bad if you don’t like this part time job, resign. The help wanted sign is
up at Mickey D’s on Main near Utica. LaNova’a always lookin’ for driver’s.

The post office is looking for non civil service postal carriers. Bills and Bison
games . Then there’s the full schedule of games for the Sabres this
year.

Jeremy Jacobs might have a gig at a TD Gardens for the Bruins this
season. That’s a really good gig, cause it gets you out of Buffalo.

Since you don’t like the hours and stipend offered. You’d do far better in Bean town.

The Bus leaves every MWF at three. So be there and travel first class, first class “freight.”

Don’t ever be where you don’t wanna be. That’s stealing from the future of Buffalo. It’s children. Since you don’t want to spend the necessary time to do all the absolutely necessary meetings, conferences and now lengthy committee meetings thanks to Carl Paladino seeing the light and doing
his elected mandates. Then, just resign, get out and let someone who is fully
qualified and has fire and zest for the children and schools of Buffalo who will
gratefully take your seat on the board, so progress can pro gress, (that’s
Canadian style pro gress, Eh)!

To the prop wielding woman with the Baseball bat at the board meeting. You are
100% disrespectful. How about having the decency to remove you “cap” when you
are addressing the school board. Your loud vicious mouth was a disgrace. What
you did though, was make a fool of yourself. You didn’t make a good case for
your cause. I recommend you find something more constructive to do on Wednesday evenings, like go to Adult Ed. and get your GED.
Charades like that during the comment period is a waste of the
board’s time, and those in attendance. By the way, you are out of your league
if you think you are going to badmouth Carl or mimic him.
What a wonderful example you’ve provieded you children by your actions.
No wonder the apple never falls far from the tree.

Nice try, strike three and YOU’RE OUT !

Excellent comment AGM1. Just one additional comment: I think the guest speaker with the baseball bat and others, better known as Brown’s cheerleaders, were pre-arranged. Who gets into a public meeting with a bat?

My thoughts exactly. Where was the idiot running around yelling “Sahcuritay, sahcuritay” like she did when Carl tried to speak his peace. Duke the dog, no doubt has more brains then her.

As they said in the days of cowboys and the Lone Ranger: “Tonto looks like the natives are restless” ! When Church Landy was asked to respond she’s quoted as saying: “Well now……Isn’t that too bad.”
Time for the bunch to start doin’ the time.
Go Get ’em Carl!

Try this on for size.

The cheerleaders in both versions
of the “Longest Yard” were a better bunch of cheerleaders than the obviously “baited” few who tried to make waves at the BOE meeting last night.

Be sure they were
far less effective than the prison population cheering squads in both the Bert Reynolds and Adam Sandler movies.

Their jeer’s at Wednesday’s board meeting had far less
class than a jamoka shake at Arby’s!

I hope she at least had the good taste to bring a genuine Louisville Slugger made from superior Ash from NYS’s southern tier.

LOL,LOL,LOL Nope! By the looks of that slugger it’s a bad boy and looks like it saw more than a few heads and no balls. Maybe a watermelon or pumkin, nadda one ball. That’s one bad piece of ash!
Her version of a single barrel Sears and Roebuck!

I see insanity in her eyes.

Marv Levy said when a person talks of retirement, they are already retired, so if the meeting is too long, retire and give the job to someone who is interested.

This District is in crisis. The Board should be in crisis mode. I think Carl’s motion to have bi-weekly meetings was spot on, but it had no second. I can’t help but wonder at the rationale as to why not. I believe he demonstrated that there is much to discuss and business to conduct. Specifically, what is the situation with East and Lafayette for September?

Jamie, This is only the Genesis 1:1 as it says : In the beg inning. The first
pitch Carl threw was a “down the pipe” fast ball. So fast they didn’t see it.

And it’s a strike one! In fact, it’s been reported by sources he didn’t
use a MLB “Official” game ball, but is was and “Aldi” oversized marshmallow.

The types the scouts use at summer camp. Just wait till he gets his hands on a couple of Buster Bison team’s official game gems. Then, wow, the fun is just beginning.

There’s going to be a better fireworks display that Bob Rich
and Russ Salvatore could do combined. Everyone in WNY knows they know how to put on quite the show. They’re great displays. However the best is yet to come.
